The journey of a bottle of wine doesn’t end when it’s bottled. As time passes, the wine evolves, and its color changes too. A young ruby red wine with purple reflections will eventually mature into garnet shades due to oxidation. This evolution results in different shades of red wine, each with its unique characteristics.
SMPRE PIU BELLA is not just a decorative object but a celebration of this fascinating evolution. The design piece contains four magnetic brooches, each capturing a different shade of red wine in the aging process. The colors are based on the ten-year aging stages of the regional Barbera grape, ensuring a true representation of the wine’s journey.
From youthful and lively purple red to the more mature garnet red, the brooches showcase the different stages of wine aging. And as the softness slightly prevails over hardness in the orange-red shade, it’s a reminder of the beauty and elegance of aged wines.

The Technique & production
This home decor piece that contains four unique brooches, all created using the latest additive manufacturing technology. Not only does this process allow for intricate and elaborate designs, but it’s also energy-efficient and waste-free. Each brooch features a magnetic closure, making them versatile and safe to wear on any material. With only 10 pieces produced for the anniversary of this contest, this numbered design is a true collector’s item.
