In these uncertain times, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and lost. But as the great Thich Nhat Hanh said, “The best way to take care of the future is to take care of the present moment.”  Our world has been turned upside down by the Coronavirus pandemic, and it’s more important than ever to focus on the present and find peace in stillness.

Our “Stillness” brooch design is a reminder of the power of immobility and emptiness. In a world where everything feels out of control, sometimes the best thing we can do is simply be still and embrace the moment.

As the designer of the brooch says, “I just wish to remain in this moment, this moment that I am staring at my empty glass, this moment of stillness, and realizing peace in the silence occasionally broken by sirens.” It’s a powerful sentiment that captures the essence of what we’re all feeling right now.

In a time of fear and uncertainty, we need to slow down and be mindful of our thoughts and feelings. By doing so, we can find a new sense of purpose and direction.
