Colour Therapy in Contemporary Jewelry

Colour is not a trend for me. It is a tool. It’s central to the way I design, and to how you wear each piece. My approach is quiet but deliberate: colour should feel natural, not forced, and invite you to express yourself every day.

Why colour matters in daily wear

Jewelry isn’t just an accessory. It’s a way to carry energy with you. The right shade can brighten your mood, sharpen your look, or bring out your style with almost no effort. I use lightweight SLS nylon to give you volume without heaviness, so even the bolder colours feel comfortable and wearable, day to night.

The MyCity palette: inspired by place

For the MyCity collections, I look to the lines and tones of the cities that shaped me. Each palette starts with a walk through the city, watching how concrete, stone, and light play against each other. Milad Tower in Tehran, or the deep piazzas of Napoli. These forms become contours, and the colours I use echo the architecture and atmosphere.

For example, The MyCity Tehran palette is made of architectural neutrals, deep greys, and the subtle hues you find in buildings, skies, and stone. but also sharp and colourful colors of the people and shops and traditional bazars.  They are understated, but each has a purpose: to trace a line, catch the light, or draw the eye to a form. These tones work together so you can layer pieces, or wear just one for a clean statement.

Dye methods and what to expect

Every piece is dyed and finished by hand in the studio. SLS nylon takes colour differently than metal or resin:

  • Some shades may shift gently over time, developing a soft patina that adds character.
  • The dyes I use are chosen for their richness and lasting power.
  • Because each batch is made in small runs, you may notice slight variations between pieces, these are signs of real craft, not flaws.

Simple styling rules

A neutral palette doesn’t mean boring.

  • Pair one architectural piece with a classic shirt or a sharp black dress.
  • Stack rings in related shades for subtle movement.
  • Mix SLS nylon with silver to reflect light differently on the same form.

You don’t need to match everything. In fact, letting one piece stand out often brings the whole look together.

Every city has its own rhythm, and I try to capture that in both form and colour. My hope is that each piece from the MyCity collection helps you feel connected, to place, to memory, and to your own sense of style.

Care at a glance

Keep your jewelry away from direct heat and harsh chemicals. Clean gently with mild soap and water, then dry well. Store in a soft pouch or a box out of sunlight. With simple care, your pieces will stay vibrant and light for longer time.
